And other musings …
One thing we’ll need to bring before we get there are “taxi cards.” These are placards we can hand the taxi driver to get to a specific destination or to tell him when to pick us up/wait for us.
To prepare, we’ll need them for each time we first arrive to each city. After we settle in, the hotel will have them for us each time we set off on the day’s adventure.
We learned this on our own the time we went to Thailand. We kept showing the driver where we wanted to go but he just wasn’t getting it. Finally it dawned on us that the Thai language is not based on the Roman alphabet! lol! Which makes it all the more impressive when a cab driver returned our camera that we left in his car! They believe in good karma, and so do we. (Kop kun krap!)
