Pack lightly … Who? Us?!
How do three gay men pack lightly?
Luckily, China is very informal and the most fancy item I’ll bring is a short-sleeved button down shirt I had made in Thailand. We’ll bring a few khakis and neutral and black colored pants. But more importantly, we are looking to travel as light as possible since there are a number of places that we’ll need to climb to, as well as make the packing up and moving to a new city easier.
We’ll bring only a few electronics - iPods to listen to Mandarin language tracks, def - though deciding whether to bring a laptop (so how to continue blogging?) or not. That’ll add to the weight a bit. I think we’ll also need to get an international disposable cell phone for emergencies and for contacting the tour guides and hotels.
We’ll try not to buy much until we get to Shanghai at the end of the trip as there are restrictions on the internal flights. Going to China in business class will not be a problem.
Under this heading (see the list above) I’ll add what we plan on bringing and perhaps what we end up doing!
